Softball Recap: Osbourn Park Drops Highest Score of Season Against Osbourn

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Osbourn Park). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Osbourn Eagles a 20-0 shutout on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Yellowjackets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Ella Onstott and Hayden Menefee did most of the damage at the plate: Onstott went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one double, while Menefee went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Menefee has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cordia Hirschy, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one triple.

Osbourn Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Osbourn only posted an OBP of .222.

Osbourn Park's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Osbourn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Osbourn Park will square off against North Stafford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Osbourn, they will take on Park View at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
