Baseball Recap: Crosspoint Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Muckleshoot Tribal on Thursday, Crosspoint Christian came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Quilcene Rangers by a score of 6-5 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 on Monday.

Crosspoint Christian has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Quilcene, the win keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crosspoint Christian will head out to square off against Klahowya at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 1.4 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Quilcene, they will challenge Darrington at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
