Soccer Recap: Clovis West Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Clovis West couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Edison Tigers who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Clovis West's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests. As for Edison, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

Clovis West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edison, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Ridgeview on the 20th.
