Football Game Preview: Black Hawk vs. River Ridge

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Black Hawk. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against River Ridge at 7:00 PM. Black Hawk are coming into the contest hot, having won five in a row.

Last Saturday, Black Hawk put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Belmont 52-6. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-0.

Meanwhile, River Ridge came up short against Highland, falling 15-22. This makes it the second defeat in a row for River Ridge.

Black Hawk's win lifted them to 5-0 while River Ridge's loss dropped them down to 2-4. In their win, Black Hawk relied heavily on senior Colby Argall, who rushed for 223 yards and 3 touchdowns. River Ridge will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
