Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kamiak). They snuck past the Mariner Marauders with a 22-18 victory on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

A big part of Kamiak's win came down to the chemistry between Conner Maxwell and his top target Jaden Sung. Maxwell threw for 173 yards and one TD while Sung picked up 78 receiving yards and one score.

Kamiak's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Mariner, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kamiak is set to face off against their familiar foe Cascade at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mariner will square off against rival Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
