Volleyball Recap: Smyrna Comes Up Short

Smyrna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Indian River Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Smyrna's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Indian River, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Smyrna will head out on the road to face off against Cape Henlopen at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indian River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Caesar Rodney at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Riders will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
