Volleyball Recap: Delavan Comes Up Short

Delavan lost against El Paso-Gridley back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Delavan couldn't get the win, but they sure gave El Paso-Gridley a tough time in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 28-30, 25-13.

Addison Fisher paced Delavan's offense, picking up nine kills. Fisher got some help from Lilly Carlton and her nine assists. Carlton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Delavan's defeat dropped their record down to 5-23. As for El Paso-Gridley, their win bumped their record up to 18-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delavan will face off against Brimfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for El Paso-Gridley, they will square off against Heyworth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
