Volleyball Game Preview: Schoharie Storm vs. Mayfield Panthers

Schoharie is 2-7 against Mayfield since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Storm will host the Panthers at 6:00 p.m.

Schoharie managed to slip by Mekeel Christian Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Storm came up short against the Lions on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Mayfield made easy work of Loudonville Christian on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mayfield took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-11.

Schoharie's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Mayfield, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12-3.

Schoharie took their win against Mayfield in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Storm have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
