Recap: Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs vs. Cherokee Warriors
The Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 38-8 defeat at the hands of Cherokee. Kennesaw Mountain has struggled against Cherokee recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Kennesaw Mountain's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Chase Walker, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown, and Michael Bell who picked up 94 receiving yards. Walker was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
Kennesaw Mountain has yet to win a matchup on the road this season, leaving them with a 1-9 record. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.4 points per game. As for Cherokee, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.
Kennesaw Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cherokee also has no future games currently scheduled.
