Basketball Recap: Mill River Takes a Loss

Mill River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 39-29 to the Sharon Academy Phoenix. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-34 last Saturday.

Mill River's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Sharon Academy, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-15.

Coincidentally, Mill River and Sharon Academy will both be playing Poultney the next time they take the court. Sharon Academy will head out to face Poultney at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Mill River will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
