Baseball Game Preview: Orem Tigers vs. Mountain View Bruins

For the second straight game, Orem will face off against Mountain View. The Tigers will face off against the Bruins at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Orem beat Mountain View 6-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Mack Ellison was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony DeMaria, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Orem was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Mountain View is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8. As for Orem, the victory was their first at home, bumping their record up to 6-8.

Mountain View's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Orem has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game.
