Basketball Recap: Tulia Comes Up Short

Tulia's tournament run continued when they took on Midland Christian on Friday. The Tulia Hornets took a 59-40 bruising from the Midland Christian Mustangs. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Tulia lost, don't look at Zaiden Jalomo. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points. Jalomo is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Logan Becerra was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Tulia's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Midland Christian, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Tulia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-40 win against Abernathy on the 13th. As for Midland Christian, they will welcome Frenship at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
