Telfair County fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 56-43 win over the Dooly County Bobcats on Saturday. The score was all tied up 23-23 at the break, but the Trojans were the better team in the second half.

Despite the loss, Dooly County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jamonte Taylor posted 15 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lucas Kentavious, who earned four points along with eight boards and three steals.

Telfair County picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-15. As for Dooly County, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Telfair County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-61 win against Dooly County on the 4th. As for Dooly County, they have also already played their next game, a 70-37 loss against Wilcox County on the 3rd.
