Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Washington's offense. They came up short against the Ayden - Grifton Chargers on Thursday, falling 6-0. The loss continues a trend for the Pam Pack in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost six in a row.

Washington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Council, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Ayden - Grifton, they pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Washington is taking a road trip to challenge Whiteville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ayden - Grifton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest Onslow at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers are facing the Stallions at the right time seeing as the Stallions are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
