Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

After flying high against Red Mountain last Tuesday, Mountain View came back down to earth. The Toros lost 3-0 to the Chandler Wolves on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Toros have suffered since March 26th.

Mountain View was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Chandler work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 28-26, 25-15.

Matix Williams paced Mountain View's offense, picking up 12 kills. Williams got some help from Trent Weyland and his 26 assists. Brody Bingham controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14-2. As for Chandler, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-9-1.

Mountain View wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Higley on the 10th. As for Chandler, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Hamilton on the 11th.
