After only two runs in their last game, Menchville made sure to put some runs up on the board against Smithfield on Monday. The Monarchs walked away with an 11-6 win over the Packers. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Monarchs' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Menchville's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Smithfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Menchville will take on Phoebus at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Phantoms have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Monarchs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Smithfield, they will head out to face off against Tabb at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Packers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
