Softball Recap: Rome Wolves vs. South Paulding Spartans
After flying high against Lithia Springs on Monday, Rome came back down to earth. The Rome Wolves wound up with the same score they had in their last game (17-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Rome's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for South Paulding, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Rome will host New Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Paulding, they will head out on the road to take on North Paulding at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Paulding's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so South Paulding's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
