Basketball Recap: Clay Comes Up Short

Clay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 63-29 loss at the hands of the St. Joseph Central Flyers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 65-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Clay's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for St. Joseph Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Clay won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against West Union at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Joseph Central, they and Eastern will face off at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
