Football Recap: Jake Kearney and Angelo Wallker Secure Win for Creighton Prep

Creighton Prep strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 31-10 margin over the Lincoln Southeast Knights. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Junior Jays just coasted through the last quarter.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Angelo Wallker and Jake Kearney. Wallker rushed for 103 yards and two scores while Kearney rushed for 65 yards on only seven carries. Wallker also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending one pass. Nico Kocmich also helped with two TDs in total.

Creighton Prep's run defense was locked in: Lincoln Southeast could only muster 1.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Silas Bush for the heroic effort on defense: he. Creighton Prep didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged six.

Creighton Prep's defense didn't let Gavin Semm., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. Jake Brock was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. Kocmich got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Creighton Prep's record is now 3-0. As for Lincoln Southeast, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
