Recap: Widefield Gladiators vs. Pueblo Central Wildcats

The Widefield Gladiators struggled with offensive rebounds on Saturday (the Pueblo Central Wildcats had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Widefield fell 58-48 to Pueblo Central. Widefield has not had much luck with Pueblo Central recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Several Gladiators players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Paul Mitchell, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Jayden Andrews, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.

It was another big night for Xavier Davis, who scored 30 points along with two blocks for Pueblo Central. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaime Enciso gonzalez, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.

Widefield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Pueblo Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Widefield will look to defend their home court on Monday against Rampart at 7:00 p.m. Rampart is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Pueblo Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Harrison is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 68.8 points per game.
