Erie-Prophetstown typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Morrison proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Panthers. The Mustangs were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Panthers, so the Mustangs were just returning the favor.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooks Ellah, who had 11 digs.

Morrison's record now sits at 13-15-3. As for Erie-Prophetstown, their defeat ended a 13-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 31-4.

Looking ahead, Morrison is taking a road trip to challenge Eastland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Erie-Prophetstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
