Westfield came into Tuesday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Agawam Brownies 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Westfield got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11.

Westfield's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Agawam, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
