Soccer Game Preview: Phoenix Country Day vs. Glendale Prep Academy

The Phoenix Country Day Eagles will take on the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Both are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Glendale Prep Academy better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Phoenix Country Day really get things going. Everything went Phoenix Country Day's way against Arete Prep on Wednesday as Phoenix Country Day made off with a 4-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glendale Prep Academy). They were the clear victor by a 15-1 margin over North Phoenix Preparatory Academy on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Glendale Prep Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Phoenix Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything went Phoenix Country Day's way against Glendale Prep Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, as Phoenix Country Day made off with a 9-0 victory.
