Basketball Recap: Ponderosa Takes a Loss

Ponderosa played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Inderkum Tigers, falling 91-33. The match marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jake Wycinsky was Ponderosa's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Ben Bailey held things down on the boards with four rebounds. Nathan Whelan took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Cole Johnson was nothing short of spectacular for Inderkum: he dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jaeden Goodman, who posted eight points and five steals.

Ponderosa's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Inderkum, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.

Ponderosa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-40 defeat against Woodcreek on the 27th. As for Inderkum, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 82-24 victory against Cordova on the 25th.
