Southeastern Local and Triad are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Trojans will host the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Southeastern Local has 13 straight wins, Triad has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Southeastern Local came out on top against Cedarville on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Indians. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Southeastern Local was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Triad came up short against West Jefferson on Tuesday, falling 19-2.
Southeastern Local's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Triad, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
Everything went Southeastern Local's way against Triad when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Southeastern Local made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
