Soccer Game Preview: Prospect Ridge Academy vs. Vail Mountain

The Prospect Ridge Academy Miners will square off against the Vail Mountain Rangers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Prospect Ridge Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let DSST: Montview get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. It was an even better day for Madison Skinner as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vail Mountain). Everything went their way against Alameda on Thursday as they made off with a 10-1 win. With Vail Mountain ahead 6-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Vail Mountain has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four games. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3.

Prospect Ridge Academy took their victory against Vail Mountain in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. Do the Miners have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rangers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
