Basketball Recap: Jones' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After flying high against Innovation last Thursday, Jones came back down to earth. The Jones Fightin' Tigers fell 48-40 to the Cypress Creek Bears on Friday. The Fightin' Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 64-52.

Cypress Creek was led to victory by Alikai Creque and Jayden Harmon. Creque dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds, while Harmon posted ten points along with five boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Creque a new career-high in boards.

The loss snapped Jones' winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-10 record. As for Cypress Creek, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-11.

Jones wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 84-43 victory against Lake Buena Vista on the 13th. As for Cypress Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-37 defeat against Winter Park on the 13th.
