The Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool Nighthawks suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. Their rough 45-25 defeat to Girard might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool has scored all season.
Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool's loss came despite strong showings from Zoe Chambers and Laurel Schwensen. Chambers scored seven points, while Schwensen scored seven points.
This is the second loss in a row for Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool and nudges their season record down to 9-3. As for Girard, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Chanute at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Chanute is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Girard, they will head out on the road to take on Fort Scott on Tuesday. Fort Scott will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
