Pickens is 0-8 against Daniel since April of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Blue Flame will take on the Lions at 6:30 p.m. The last four games Pickens has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Pickens let Palmetto stack four runs on them in the fourth inning on Thursday but luckily Pickens prevailed anyway. The Blue Flame won by a run and slipped past the Mustangs 7-6.

Cam Wilson was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. He has become a key player for Pickens: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 8-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Layton, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.
Meanwhile, Daniel came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Tigers. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by just one run.
Corbin Spilliards made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Will Davis looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Daniel let Ty Simpson and Liam Purcell run wild. Simpson went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI, while Purcell went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. That's the most doubles Purcell has posted over his last 11 games. Jackson Ownbey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Daniel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matchups.
Pickens' record now sits at 11-12. As for Daniel, their record is now 17-7.
Pickens suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Daniel in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Blue Flame avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
