Archbishop Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes. On the bright side, the 11- run effort marked the Bulldogs' highest-scoring contest to date.

Archbishop Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Somerset Academy South Homestead, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Coincidentally, Archbishop Carroll and Somerset Academy South Homestead will both be playing Gulliver Prep the next time they take the field. The Hurricanes will host the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
