Volleyball Recap: Corona Takes a Loss

Corona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Centennial Huskies. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Huskies when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Corona started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 18-25, 25-14, 25-16, 15-11.

Corona's record now sits at 6-14. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Corona will square off against Roosevelt at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Centennial, they and King will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
