Basketball Game Preview: Castlemont Knights vs. Arroyo Dons

The Castlemont Knights will challenge the Arroyo Dons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Castlemont is leaving town to face Arroyo after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Castlemont was outmatched by AIMS College Prep and fell 82-33. The Knights' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it 13 in a row dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Arroyo had just enough and edged Marin Academy out 57-54 on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Dons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 200th).

Castlemont came up short against Arroyo when the teams last played back in December of 2019, falling 65-57. Can Castlemont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
