Volleyball Recap: Ava Mueller and Riley Gordillo Secure Win for Concordia

Concordia lost to Wellington-Napoleon back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Fighting Orioles came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 22-25, 25-17, 25-19.

Concordia was led to victory by Riley Gordillo and Ava Mueller. Gordillo had nine digs and three assists, while Mueller had nine digs and six kills. That's the most digs Mueller has posted over her last six matchups. Dakota Reynolds also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Concordia was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. They are undefeated (4-0) when they serve at least ten aces.

Concordia's victory bumped their record up to 5-6-1. As for Wellington-Napoleon, they now have a losing record of 7-8-2.

Concordia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Marshall on the 24th. As for Wellington-Napoleon, they will be playing at home against Santa Fe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
