Baseball Game Preview: River View Black Bears vs. Morgan Raiders

The River View Black Bears are taking a road trip to challenge the Morgan Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

River View had taken Coshocton down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Black Bears fell just short of the Redskins by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, while it was Morgan who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Cambridge who put up more. The Raiders came up short against the Bobcats, falling 14-4. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McGwire Winner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Baker, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

River View's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Morgan, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

River View might still be hurting after the 10-2 loss they got from Morgan in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Black Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
