Football Recap: Kennedale's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kennedale can now relate to. They took a 22-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastern Hills Highlanders on Saturday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Highlanders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Kennedale lost, don't look at Riley Bingham. Despite the final result, he rushed for 221 yards and one score while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Bingham is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 4-2 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

Kennedale's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5. As for Eastern Hills, they now also have a winning record of 6-5.

Kennedale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern Hills, they will take on Celina at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders will need to watch out since the Bobcats have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
