Soccer Game Preview: Highland Springs vs. Armstrong

The Highland Springs Springers will head out on the road to square off against the Armstrong Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Highland Springs is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Huguenot on Tuesday. Neither the Springers nor the Falcons could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Armstrong was not able to secure the win in their season-opener two weeks ago. They played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Huguenot.

With that draw, Highland Springs' record moves to 2-2-1. Meanwhile, Armstrong's record is now 0-0-1.

Highland Springs took their win against Armstrong in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1 score. In that game, the Springers amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
