Preview: Piper Bengals vs. Coconut Creek Cougars
The Piper Bengals are on the road again on Friday and play against the Coconut Creek Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Plantation typically have all the answers at home, but two weeks ago Piper proved too difficult a challenge. Piper had just enough and edged Plantation out 24-21.
The critical scores for Piper came from Jean Telfort, Jahsharie Pinnock, and Jordan London.
Meanwhile, Coconut Creek entered their tilt with Deerfield Beach with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Coconut Creek simply couldn't be stopped two weeks ago as they easily beat Deerfield Beach 56-8 at home. Coconut Creek might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four contests by 30 points or more this season.
Piper has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Coconut Creek, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Piper was dealt a bruising 41-0 loss at the hands of Coconut Creek in their previous matchup back in August of 2021. Can Piper avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
