Shikellamy and Jersey Shore are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Braves will head out to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shikellamy is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Shikellamy came up short against South Williamsport and fell 8-5.

Chayse Snyder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Corbin Stahl, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Jersey Shore beat Shamokin Area 4-1 on Monday.

Zach Myers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nolen Pauling was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Berguson, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Jersey Shore now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Shikellamy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Shikellamy couldn't quite get it done against Jersey Shore in their previous meeting last Wednesday as they fell 5-1. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
