Softball Game Preview: Gilbert Tigers vs. Boone Toreadors

The Gilbert Tigers will challenge the Boone Toreadors at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Boone took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Gilbert, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Gilbert duked it out with Sumner-Fredericksburg on Saturday. The Tigers blew past the Cougars 10-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Boone's offense. They lost 9-0 to Xavier on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Toreadors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Gilbert's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Boone, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-7.
