Rebecca Rubio posted a new career-low in hits on Friday. She was dialed in as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Crystal City back in March, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Rubio has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Rubio and Hondo will be playing at home against Lytle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rubio has dominated as far as strikeouts are concerned (she's averaged 5.2 per game this season), but she's got her work cut out for her considering the Pirates have only allowed 3.68 per game this season.
