Baseball Recap: Northport Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Northport has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.77 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They lost 25-4 to the Naselle Comets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered since March 25th.

Northport's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5. As for Naselle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Northport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Naselle, they will face off against Liberty Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight.
