Volleyball Game Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. Andover Golden Warriors

The Franklin Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Andover Golden Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Franklin sitting on 15 straight wins and Andover on five.

Franklin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Lincoln-Sudbury as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Franklin was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Andover faced Bishop Feehan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Golden Warriors put the hurt on the Shamrocks with a sharp 3-0 win.

Andover never let Bishop Feehan on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16, 25-22.

Franklin better keep an eye on Ella Niles. She was instrumental in Andover's win, getting ten digs and two aces. Those ten digs gave Niles a new career-high.

Andover was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in eight consecutive contests.

Franklin's record is now 20-2. As for Andover, their record now sits at 18-4.
