Hernando had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Lewisburg Patriots on Friday as they made off with  a  7-1 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Haylee Jackson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Hernando let  Macie Dever Boaz and  Bella Adams run wild. Dever Boaz  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double, while  Adams  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI. Dever Boaz is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last six games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Olivia Higginbotham, who  went 1-for-4 with three  runs and one  stolen base.
Hernando's victory was  their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 30-2. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Lewisburg, their loss dropped their record down to 19-14.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hernando beat the Patriots by a score of  6-1 on Saturday.
