Softball Recap: Williams Comes Up Short

Williams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Southern Alamance Patriots, falling 20-0. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 18-1 to the Patriots when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southern Alamance, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williams will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Southeast Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Stallions have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Southern Alamance, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Wheatmore at 6:00 p.m. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
