Basketball Recap: Lake Orion Takes a Loss

If Lake Orion was riding high fresh off their 66-19 takedown of Kettering last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lake Orion Dragons were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 41-40 to the Mott Corsairs. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th in Michigan, while the Corsairs are ranked 30th in Michigan).

With the loss, Lake Orion broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35 points. As for Mott, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-3.
