Softball Recap: Lyman Comes Up Short

Lyman managed to slip by Master's Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Greyhounds lost 7-1 to the Eagles on Thursday. The Greyhounds' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Lyman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Darwent, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Lyman's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Master's Academy, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Coming up, Lyman will host The First Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Greyhounds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Master's Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
