After a string of nine wins, Whitehall's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 5-0 to the Osseo-Fairchild Thunder. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Norse were not able to get on the board.

Whitehall got a good showing from Luke Matejka, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Matejka has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Whitehall saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Sartor, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Sartor has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Whitehall's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Osseo-Fairchild, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Looking ahead, Whitehall will take on Neillsville/Granton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Osseo-Fairchild, they will square off against Independence/Gilmanton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
