Volleyball Recap: River Falls Victorious

River Falls's tournament run continued when they took on Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Vikings 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Among those leading the charge was Adia Johnson, who had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last nine contests. Charlie Cegielski also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good server: River Falls was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 13 consecutive matches.

River Falls' victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-7 record this season.

River Falls has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Hamilton on the 20th. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Appleton North on the 20th.
