Mt. Spokane faced Mead in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

While Mt. Spokane might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mead scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 26-24, 23-25, 25-19.

Mt. Spokane's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mead, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mt. Spokane is set to take on their familiar foe Shadle Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mead will challenge rival Lewis & Clark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
