Preview: Gervais vs. Sheridan

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Sheridan. Their bye week comes to an end as they meet up with Gervais at 7:00 PM on Friday. Gervais will need to watch out since Sheridan have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.

Sheridan might be getting used to good results now that the squad have four wins in a row. They were fully in charge two weeks ago, breezing past Chemawa Indian 59-18. No one put up better numbers for Sheridan than junior Josh Rogers, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rogers has been a consistent playmaker for Sheridan as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Gervais, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They were given a punishing 20-61 loss at the hands of Kennedy.

Sheridan's win lifted them to 4-1 while Gervais's defeat dropped them down to 0-6. We'll see if Sheridan's success rolls on or if Gervais are able to steal their positive momentum.
